Who Are We?

The City Basketball is a youth basketball organization with a mission to support the holistic development of student-athletes through academic, social, and educational growth facilitated by the game of basketball.

Where Are We Located?

Our program operates out of south Minneapolis, MN, and surrounding south metro area.

Pre-Registration Information

In the spring, we offer pre-registration, strongly encouraging both pre-registration and pre-payment to save your childs roster spot.

 

Season Length and Tournaments

All teams will begin practice in early April and most teams will conclude by mid/end June, some teams may extend into July. Teams will participate in 6-10 tournaments, depending on grade and tournament schedule.

 

Practice Locations and Schedule

Practices occur twice per week, lasting 90 minutes each. Practice locations will be in south Minneapolis and surrounding metro area.

 

Travel Information

While the majority of our spring City Elite teams may have out-of-state tournaments on their schedules, travel expenses (gas, food, and hotel arrangements) are the responsibility of the family. Coaches are not involved in player transportation, as it is the parents' responsibility.

 

Tryout and Other Fees

A tryout fee is applicable, published annually based on associated costs and is non-refundable.

 

Player Placement, Team Size, and Requests

Teams are formed based on coaches' assessments during tryouts, aiming for balance and competitiveness. Team sizes are kept at 10 or fewer players. Requests to be on the same team as another player can be made, and while we strive to accommodate them, final team makeup depends on various factors.
